What I love about Submit Your Article is that it has an in-built article spinner, or as SYA calls it 'Article Leverage'. This means you quickly enter several variations of your title, introduction and a few other sentences, and SYA spins the article so that each article directory is offered a totally unique article. As a result you'll get more articles published, more links to your site and loads of great article traffic.

With Submit Your Article you are not allowed to blatantly promote a product – instead you need to provide information on the topic area. For example, if you're an affiliate for an anti-wrinle cream you discuss anti-ageing techniques in your article.

You also need to follow the strict Ezine Articles standards (i.e. at least 400 words, proper grammar and spelling) – if the article does not fit this standard it’s likely to be rejected by others as well.

One of the downsides about SYA is, that you're not allowed to enter a link into the main body text. I usually get around this by logging into the Ezine Articles account seperately and adding the link to the article (or I ask my outsourcers to do it!). It takes one minute extra, but the high PR back link is worth it.

Article Marketing Automation, or AMA is like the cheap and dirty version of article marketing. It's lower quality than SYA, but it's super effective in building hundreds, if not thousands of backlinks to your site. AMA is a blog network that makes your articles available to people who can use them for content on their blogs. The articles are published anonymously; thereby blog owners accept responsibility for the content.

Each article could be picked up by hundreds of other sites and be published, with your links intact, over and over again. The standards for publishing are a lot lower than with SYA and you can add more links to your articles (up to three links which can even be bolded). So it's super-effective for building backlinks, but not great for generating highly targeted article marketing traffic.

AMA also has a spin function where you can re-write the title and each sentence. This increases your chance of the article being published by different blog owners. You can even spin your links, and the anchor text in them, although this takes some html knowledge and a little bit of practice.

One of the awesome features of AMA is that you can include YouTube videos with your article, so you can increase your exposure for video marketing dramatically.

Personally, I think well written, high quality and unique articles are the basis of every great article marketing strategy. So I would never touch a product that promotes article marketing through spinning and submitting PLR articles.
